Well it has been a couple of weeks, and yes, there is still no proper site. What can I say? Distractions, graphics issues, and copyright problems, they all add up to time. Lots of time. However, there is good news. I have a plan, and a back up plan, and a second back up plan for if the first one fails. The site will be up, and it will be well worth the wait once it is.
Writing, on the other hand, is going very well. I am working away on book four and constantly being surprised at the turns it is taking. My chapter plan keeps changing with each passing chapter, and the characters are having a field day. Of course everything is not smooth sailing for them, but it wouldn't be something written by me if it were. As many twists and turns are in the first three books, there are just as many in the fourth one.
Whilst all this is going on, the next book in the series has been refining itself in my mind. Poppy should prove an interesting character to get inside, and I am looking forward to her point of view on the world. Safe to say that it will be very different, and much darker.
Now, the publishing of book one. Four rejection letters in, and I am still going strong. It is just a case of finding someone who is passionate about the story I have written. Of course, I am also going over book one again, line by line, with fresh eyes and making sure that I haven't missed anything.
Right, now for some good reads and some reads to look out for. I think the most anticipated book for me at the moment is J.R Ward's Lover Mine. It is out in the US already, and will be out in the UK soon enough. It is the next in J.R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and I will be hibernating for a day or so when it arrives.
Another book that I am eagerly awaiting is the new Charlaine Harris novel. There are a couple of months before that comes out, and, again, I shall disappear for a while when that comes out.
One book I have recently reread is The Lake, by Richard Laymon. It is a fantastic story spanning twenty years. With plenty of doom and gloom, complicated storylines interlacing with each other, and even a little romance, it is absolutely worth a read. Of course, I am a huge fan of Richard Laymon, and anything he has written is worth reading.
So, keep an eye out for the site, it will be up, and have a read of those books.
Also, don't forget to check out the eBook Benefit from my last post. Any and all support is appreciated.
