Amazon

Hello!

First of all, sorry for the radio silence these last weeks. I've been busy on an exciting new project called The Stars Are Falling. There’s a pretty tight deadline for it, so I’ve been spending pretty much all day writing away for it. The project is coming along nicely, and should be complete in the next couple of days. Then it’s off to my wonderful prereaders before it comes back to me for a very quick very thorough edit.

Secondly, if you’ve read The Last Keeper, or any of my other works, and have rated the book on goodreads, would you be so kind as to pop a quick review on Amazon? Ratings and reviews are coming in every few days on Goodreads at the moment, and I am so happy so many of you are enjoying the book. It takes just a few second to review a book on Amazon, so if you’ve got a few seconds to spare, it would be very much appreciated.

In other news, I’ll be at Sunderland library on October 8th at 5pm for their literary festival! I’ll be a guest speaker along with author Rachael H Dixon, and together we’ll be talking about horror and vampires, and things that go bump in the night.

Rachael and I will then be back together on Halloween at Stockton library for their Halloween festivities! They’ve got spooky stories, refreshments, tarot readings, and competitions. Rachael and I will be judging a costume contest, too! That’s on October 31st from 6.15pm through until 10m.

You’ll also get the very first look in the whole world of Last Chance’s book trailer. We’re doing the photoshoot this weekend, including the cover shots. The music is already written and recorded and is completely original! And all that’s left is the pictures and putting the video together. There’s going to be a blog tour with video interviews of the cast and my wonderful musician, as well as behind the scenes photos, videos, and tips for anyone wanting to make their own book trailer.

And lastly, if you’ve noticed that the website needs updating, you’re right. That’s the plan for Sunday as soon as The Stars Are Falling is written and off to the prereaders. I’ll be adding more interviews, including an interview with Serenity Cardea, as well as a list of guest posts and an updated calendar.

In the meantime, I’m off to get cracking on this project!

Just like the title says!

The Last Keeper was reviewed last month on The TBR Pile review blog. And now it's up for Book of the Month!

As many of you know, I announced a short while ago that the contracts for Last Chance had been signed and we were set for a release of book 2 in The Keepers’ Chronicles in 2013.

And now I’m trying to think of a way to say everything has changed that’s polite. So, yes, everything has changed. I was informed on Friday evening that this is not the case. TWCS Publishing House will not be continuing with The Keepers’ Chronicles.

Given that contracts were signed and I was expecting editing to start and everything was planned, right down to a blog tour in October for the run up to the trailer release, I was somewhat shocked.

I’m not going to go into the details, as they are between TWCS and me.

I am going to say this, though; for the last twenty-four hours I’ve been thinking. It’s what I do best. I think and I overthink, and then I rethink again.

And here are the results of that thinking.

May 2013 (exact date to be confirmed) Last Chance, book 2 in The Keepers’ Chronicles, will be released. I’ve found a wonderful young lady to edit the book. I already have the cover planned, as it was going to be my own artwork anyway. I’ve looked at the options for printing and distribution and marketing, and everything is now covered.

All in all, I’m happier with things going as they are now. There may not be contracts and royalties and a publishing house printing my work, but there will be books.

I’m not giving up, ever.
